Darning Mushroom from Stendal
A little something I did in between after coming across a blog post by the Landesmuseum für Vorgeschichte Halle (Saale): during archaeological excavations in Stendal in 2016 the excavators found what most likely was a wooden darning mushroom - in a layer that dated to between 1165 and 1178!
Diameter of head 6.5cm, height of head 2.8cm
