Jet Pyxis and Stilus

A small, low pyxis from a grave in Gelduba (Gellep, Germany), prossibly used for cosmetics or make up related products, and its accompanying stilus. Both are made from jet. The pyxis is rather small, a little over 2cm high with a diameter of 3.5 cm. The set comes from a woman's grave dated to the 1st half of the 4th century. Apparently it contained traces of a black substance, "presumably make-up" as the report states.
