Dommelen Style Shoes

A pair of turnshoes of the Dommelen style, in this case made after the later variants, i.e. a two-piece turnshoe construction. This simple and very straight forward design spans the 8th to the 9th century AD.

Personally I like the way it closes, once around and the around the ankle again.
