Saalburg No. 3 Carbatina

Germanic style one-piece shoe or carbatina, after a find from 1885 from well 19 of the Saalburg (Germany). Dated to the 2nd/3rd Century AD. The pattern and decorations indicate that it is a shoe of Germanic manufacture or at least influenced by Germanic designs.
